How are you as a parent?
I hope to be patient, present and understanding, but as most parents I struggle with feelings of guilt and not being good enough. I think the most important thing is to always try your best and never ever give up on your relationship with your kids.
You are very good with words, always making us smile while reading your post on instagram, tell us about that, is words a passion of yours?
Thank you! I love words and the difference they can make. Words have always been my escape, my way of trying to figure out myself and the world. I’ve seen how powerful words can be and it really makes me happy that people enjoy what I write!
Tell us about your home? What makes it a home you think?
I live in a apartment in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. It is very important for me to feel at home in our apartment and that everything in it has a role. I hate having to many things and constantly keep a big bag in a closet where I throw things that I am going to give away (and whenever my husband is missing something he always goes there first 😬)
I don’t like bright colors, I think it has something to do with me being a very stressed person and wanting to calm down when I come home.
How has parenthood changed your home?
Absolutely! Well first of there’s toys and crafts everywhere... but it has also changed the meaning of a home. I mean, this is and will always be their first home and I need to make it rememberable!
Inspiration is both fun and important, where do you find your inspiration?
Inspiration for my writing almost always comes from my kids (they say the most hilarious things!) and being a parent. Instagram is also a very happy place for me where I constantly save pictures or take screen shots for future projects at home or at work!
I’m also badly addicted to Pinterest...
Thank you so much Julia for letting us get to know you a bit better /Maria
